HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. - A man wanted on an attempted murder charge in a case being investigated by Baltimore detectives was apprehended Thursday morning at a home on Mount Vista Road in Harpers Ferry, officials said.
When Steven Blunt was taken into custody, he was trying to flush about 3.5 ounces of heroin, according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals service.
Blunt was charged as fugitive from justice and was in Eastern Regional Jail in Martinsburg, W.Va., awaiting extradition to Baltimore to face charges, the release said.
Blunt was taken into custody after police found a vehicle belonging to his wife on Mount Vista Road at about 10 a.m., the release said.
