Louise R. "Pete" Mumma, 77, of Hagerstown, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at Golden Living Center, Hagerstown.

Born April 3, 1931, in Clear Spring, she was the daughter of the late Ignatius and Annie Virginia Henson Drury.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph T. Mumma.

She worked as a seamstress in Hagerstown.

She was the founder of and operated Hub City Twirlers.

She is survived by two daughters, Theresa L. Mumma Herr and Rebecca L. Trimmer, both of Hagerstown; two sons, Lee T. Mumma of Clear Spring and Kenny T. Mills of Boston; two brothers, Carl Drury of Clear Spring and Thomas Drury of Hagerstown; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five sisters, Suzanne Mills, Prudence Drury, Sally A. Drury, Mary Ellen Barr and Jo Marie Myers; and four brothers, Martin Drury, Ignatius Drury, Daniel Drury and General George J. Drury.


Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown. The Rev. Scott Summers will officiate. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Friends will be received Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
