SPRINGFIELD, Va. - Nell Fae Sinclair, 87, of Springfield, and formerly of Brunswick, Md., died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown.

Born March 9, 1921, in Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Grace Thompson Booth.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, John E. Brawner Sr. and Clinton D. Sinclair.

She was a retired cashier with Safeway Stores in McLean, Va.

She was a member of United Church of Christ, Lovettsville, Va.

She was a member of Women of the Moose Chapter 660, Brunswick.

She is survived by two daughters, Pat Washington of Springfield and Wanda Lora of Colonial Beach, Va.; one son, Tom Brawner of Hancock; two sisters; one brother; 18 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and cousins.


She was preceded in death by one daughter, Bonnie Jenkins; two sons, John E. Brawner Jr. and Carroll D. Brawner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at John T. Williams Funeral Home, Brunswick. The Rev. Roland England will officiate. Burial will be in Park Heights Cemetery, Brunswick.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
