The Muffleys



The family of Donald and Deanna Muffley of Hagerstown celebrated their 50th anniversary on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at The Cozy Restaurant. The celebration was hosted by their children, David and Theresa Muffley of Clear Spring, Dawn and Ray Dinterman of Walkersville, and Denise and Brian Miller of Maugansville. Their seven grandchildren were present.

Mr. and Mrs. Muffley were married Dec. 20, 1958 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Three Rivers, Mich., where they lived until 1969.

A U.S. Navy veteran, Mr. Muffley graduated from Shenandoah Conservatory of Music, and was employed by Mack Trucks, Rotorex and Tecumseh Products. He now volunteers with Habitat for Humanity, Discovery Station, AMVETS Post 10 Color Guard and the local Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Mrs. Muffley graduated from Western Michigan University and has been a teacher in Michigan, Washington County Schools, Grace Academy and was the director of preschool programs in Hagerstown and Tecumseh, Mich. Since retiring, she has been a piano teacher and a Discovery Station volunteer. The Muffleys also are involved in the ministry of Zion Assembly of God.
