FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Irene C. Myers Mace Britsch, of The Village of Laurel Run and formerly of 11475 Pine Hill Drive, Waynesboro, Pa., died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009, at the nursing home.

Born in Nova, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harvey R. and Clara B. Cosey Myers.

She graduated from Greencastle (Pa.) High School.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Paul Mace, in 1983.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Waynesboro Church of the Brethren.

She was a former member of Waynesboro Country Club.

She was a volunteer at the Waynesboro Hospital Gift Shop.

She is survived by her husband, William P. Britsch, whom she married Aug. 31, 1985; one son, Jeffrey L. Mace of Waynesboro; one sister, Betty J. Heckman of Manorcare Health Services in Chambersburg, Pa.; three grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.


She was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.

A memorial service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home in Waynesboro. Pastor Richard Heckman, her nephew will officiate.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

There will be no public viewing. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
