MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Rex Curren Shrader, 77, of Martinsburg, died Monday, Jan. 19, 2009, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.

Born Feb. 1, 1931, in Bramwell, W.Va., he was the son of the late David Shrader and Beulla Corell Shrader.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta M. Shrader.

He was a 1950 graduate of Bramwell High School.

He retired from Corning Glass.

He was a veteran of the the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Air Force.

He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Moose Lodge 120.

He is survived by four stepchildren, Randy Riffe, Mike Riffe, Beverly Rose and Paul West; one brother, Walter Shrader; five grandchildren; four nieces; and two nephews.


He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Harless and Ruth Roper; and three brothers, Mack Shrader, Paul Shrader and Willie Shrader.

Graveside services will be Sunday at 11 a.m. at Rosedale Cemetery. Chaplain John Waidande will officiate.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.
