Waynesboro burglary suspects sought



WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Waynesboro police have released information about one or two suspects connected to at least three attempted burglary attempts, all of which occurred in the daytime.

Police were looking for a white man in his mid-30s with a scruffy beard. That man was wearing a gray winter jacket with a bold stripe and hiking boots.

A second man, believed to be in his 20s, was described as having a fair complexion. He was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt with a gray lining.

The first man attempted to push his way into an apartment in the 400 block of North Church Street shortly before 9 a.m., police said.

Pa. State Police respond to incidents



Pennsylvania State Police have responded to the following incidents, according to press releases from the department:

Tuesday:

o At 7 a.m., a theft was reported in the 1000 block of Hamilton Drive in Chambersburg. The theft happened between 9 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Tuesday. Several items of jewelry and about $70 were taken.

o At 3:03 p.m., a one-vehicle crash was reported at the intersection of Pa. 696 and Orchard Road in Greene Township. The driver, James Edward Myers, 47, of Orrtanna, Pa., was taken to Chambersburg Hospital with moderate facial injuries.

Friday:

o At 1 a.m., a one-vehicle, hit-and-run crash was reported on Walker Road at Ragged Edge Road in Guilford Township. A vehicle knocked over a traffic sign and fled west on Walker Road. The vehicle is believed to be a small, light-gray truck, possibly a Nissan.

o At 10:53 a.m., criminal trespass was reported in the 4600 block of Guinter Road in Hamilton Township. It happened between 6 p.m. Thursday and 10:53 a.m. Friday.
