Westbound lanes at the scene of a 50-vehicle pileup on westbound Interstate 70 near the Frederick and Washington counties line reopened at 11 p.m., Tuesday, according to Maryland State Police.
The notification process involving two people killed in the accident is under way, state police said.
Traffic was backed up to Ridge Road in Frederick County, state police said.
