HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. - Marge Elizabeth Landmesser, 71, of Harpers Ferry, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va.

Born May 13, 1937, in Jersey City, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Louis J. Huszar Sr. and Bertha Kaponyas Huszar.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Landmesser.

She was a retired nurse.

She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Charles Town, W.Va.

She is survived by one daughter, Desiree Harris of Harpers Ferry; four sons, Troy Landmesser of the Philippines, Michael Landmesser of Sterling, Va., Derek Landmesser of Berryville, Va., and Blaine Landmesser of Harpers Ferry; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Louis Huszar Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Harpers Ferry. The Rev. George Pucciarelli will be celebrant. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery in Harpers Ferry.

The family will receive friends Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
