Ridenour turns over fire chief duties

Maugansville Fire Chief Phil Ridenour has turned over the office of fire chief to Bill Garrett, who had been deputy chief.

After 20 years of service as chief, Ridenour said he felt as though the department was due for a change.

The following are fire line officers for 2009:

Bill Garrett, fire chief; Ian Swisher, deputy chief; Travis Keefer, assistant chief; Herb Cooper and Steve Eby, captains; Dave Baer and Chuck Burleson, lieutenants; and Tom Garrett and T.J. Cooper, sergeants.

Chief Ridenour would like to take this opportunity to thank the Maugansville community for its support of him and the department and especially thank the members of the company for their years of dedication, devotion and cooperation.
