'Disaster College' volunteers needed

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Disaster response volunteers from Waynesboro, Greencastle, Mercersburg and Fannett-Metal are needed for the American Red Cross, and a "Disaster College" is being held for training in February.

Volunteers are needed for local and national disaster response, according to a news release.

Churches and other organizations willing to become Disaster Shelters are encouraged to have interested members trained, news release stated.

Three sessions are scheduled to comprise the Disaster College. They will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 18, 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 19, and 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 21. All are in the Red Cross training room at 25 Penncraft Ave., Chambersburg.
