o A satire column on A1 of the Jan. 4 edition of The Herald-Mail incorrectly referred to the construction of a road at the Westfields subdivision south of Hagerstown. The developer, Westfields Investment LLC, built a portion of the road that was outlined in an agreement with Washington County. Later, the county asked the developer to extend the road about 300 feet farther so it connected to a Rockland Woods Elementary School student drop-off point. The county paid for the additional road construction upfront and will be reimbursed for all costs by the developer within five years.

o Due to a reporter's error, a story on page B1 of Monday's edition of The Herald-Mail about the clock tower in Greencastle, Pa., incorrectly stated Cushwa and Stouffer LLC's relationship to work done on the clock in 1990. Owner Kurt Cushwa said the firm did not work on the clock tower; it only designed repairs to the First National Bank of Greencastle's trust department.
