Did you know?

Did you know that among the many characters that traveled along the Old National Pike were organ grinders?

Around the time of the Hagerstown Fair, they would pass through Clear Spring, play an organ by turning the handle while a monkey would dance around. Groups of children and passersby would watch and the monkey would pass around his hat for pennies.
