Nelson T. Eshelman, 85, of Hagerstown, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at his home.
Born July 15, 1923, in Chambersburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Ray and Nellie Pine Eshelman.
He was a self-employed contractor.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of Williamsport American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty Virginia Eshelman; one sister, Verna Welty of Tampa, Fla.; and one brother, Harold Eshelman of Smithsburg.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown. The Rev. Quentin Fleming will officiate. Military honors will be accorded following the service by the Maryland National Honor Guard.
