Planetarium offers free program

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. -- The Berkeley County Planetarium will present a program today at 4:30 p.m. and Thursday at 7 p. m. at Hedgesville High School on W.Va. 9 to kick off 2009 as the International Year of Astronomy.

There will be a general sky program describing what is visible in the current night sky, as well as a presentation of "Passport to the Universe" narrated by Tom Hanks.

The programs are free and open to the public. Staff development credit is available.
