Williamsport Lions had successful year of helping

January 13, 2009

WILLIAMSPORT - 2008 was a good year for the Williamsport Lions Club but more importantly, it was a good year for the people the club serves.

The Williamsport Lions Club health services committee reports that a total of 110 hospital beds and wheelchairs were delivered and picked up for homebound patients in Washington County in 2008.

The Williamsport Lions Club also made Christmas brighter for 52 families in the Williamsport area and a big thanks went out to all who worked to make this happen.

Helping with that effort were representatives from Martin's Foods, Butterkrust, The Salvation Army, American Legion Post 202, The Town of Williamsport and the Williamsport Post Office.
