KEARNEYSVILLE, W.Va. - Marvin Lee Turner, 67, of Kearneysville, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, as the result of a traffic accident in Winchester, Va.

Born May 26, 1941, in Middleway, W.Va., he was the son of the late Joseph Turner and Hattie Shirley Turner.

He was a retired over-the-road truck driver.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Bernice Ann Webber Turner; five daughters, Jackie Thompson of Inwood, W.Va., Melissa Widmeyer of Gerrardstown, W.Va., and Brenda Grim, Annie Turner and Lisa Turner, all of Kearneysville; two sisters, Virginia Miller of Middleway and Betty Milburn of Charles Town, W.Va.; one brother, Melvin Turner of Middleway; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Tracey Dodson; four brothers, Paul, Lester, Ray and Joseph Turner; and three sisters, Wanda Turner, Mary Pearl Long and Helen Barnes.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home's South Berkeley Chapel, Inwood. Pastor Robert Caplinger, and the Revs. Mary Wilson and Clifford O. Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
