Big weekend for Indians
CAMERON, W.Va. --Â Berkeley Springs had a productive weekend, winning the Cameron Tri-State Tournament on Saturday after going 3-0 in a quad meet in Morgantown on Friday.
Cohen Hovermale (103 pounds), Loquen McKee (112), Derek Hovermale (125), Damen Capper (140) and Holbert Delph (285) won titles for the Indians on Saturday, while Bradley Reed (130), Richard Marshall (135) and Tory Bennett (160) each finished second and Zac Risinger (145) placed third.
On Friday, Berkeley Springs improved its dual record to 10-3 by beating Morgantown 45-36, Preston 48-27 and South Harrison 57-18.
Nick wins at Jefferson
SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, W.Va. --Â Washington's Dylan Nick was the area's lone champion at the Jefferson Invitational Tournament on Saturday.
Nick, who picked up his 100th career victory in the tournament, beat Musselman's Jared Weatherholtz 8-5 in the championship finals at 189 pounds.
