WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Cara Thompson had 23 points, seven rebounds and three assists, but Hagerstown Community College lost to North Hampton 79-76 in overtime on Sunday.

Shawayna Morel had 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Hawks (7-9). Miranda Payne added seven points, six assists and four steals.

"For us to play this well and lose, it's one of those things that can be demoralizing, but we just hope we can build on it," HCC coach Marlys Palmer said. "I keep comparing it to last year. We caught every break. We've not caught too many breaks this year."
