Van donated to Totem Pole

January 09, 2009

FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Santa arrived early at Totem Pole Playhouse.

R.A. Hill Inc., an industrial building construction company at 1364 Lincoln Way East in Chambersburg, Pa., in December donated a 1997 Ford nine-passenger van to the nonprofit summer theater at Caledonia State Park.

The theater is a member of the Actors' Equity Association, a union of professional actors and stage directors. One of the union's rules requires the theater to provide transportation to and from the theater plus shopping trips for actors without their own vehicles.

Above, Tom Hill, right, of R.A. Hill Inc., presents the keys to the vehicle to David Black, left, a Totem Pole board member and chair of the Property Committee, and Elise Overcash, president of the Totem Pole board of directors.
