Crime Solvers offers reward for information in Sunnyway burglary

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police and Franklin County Crime Solvers are seeking information about a Christmas Day burglary at Sunnyway Foods at 49 Warm Spring Road.

The supermarket was entered through the roof between 11 p.m. Dec. 24 and 3 a.m. Christmas Day, police said. Once inside, the thief or thieves pried open the safe and removed a large amount of cash, police said.

Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person or people responsible. Anyone with information may call police at 717-264-5161 or Crime Solvers at 717-263-3000.

Callers to Crime Solvers may remain anonymous and still be eligible for a reward for information about this or other crimes.

Man faces public drunkeness charges after found lying in a field

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police charged a man with public drunkenness after he was found lying in a field Wednesday night.

Lester Eshleman, 51, address unavailable, was found at about 8 p.m. in a field off Wayne Road near the Cider Press Road intersection, police said.
