Strong Step (a Jackie Sorensen step aerobics program) takes place Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. A limited number of steps are available at the center. Step classes also begin Jan. 13.
Yoga begins Saturday, Jan. 17, from 9 to 10 a.m. Please bring your own mat to each of these classes.
A class geared to the "young at heart" is offered on Wednesday mornings from 10 to 11. This class, which begins Jan. 14, includes simple low-impact aerobic moves, strength training, flexibility and balance training. Register for this class through the Hagerstown Community College Continuing Education program.
All classes are taught by certified instructor Sandy Ferris, who provides a supportive atmosphere for participants to work at their own levels. Additional information on all classes and their costs is available by calling Sandy at 301-432-5320.
District 12 Ruritan to hold potpie dinner
District 12 Ruritan Club will hold a chicken/beef slippery potpie dinner Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. or while supplies last. Dinner costs $6 for all you can eat. Carryout will be available.
The dinner will be at the Tilghmanton Woods Community Park on Manor Church Road, 1/4 mile east of Sharpsburg Pike.
Senior site
The senior site in Keedysville at the Little Antietam Community Center, 40 Mt. Vernon Drive, will provide regularly scheduled activities during January. Call manager Martha Drennen at 301-432-5624 for more details.
