KEEDYSVILLE - Terry Eugene Knight, 71, of Keedysville, Md., passed away Tuesday Dec. 30, 2008, at the Johns Hopkins Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

He was the devoted husband of Vivian (Castle) Knight, his wife of 48 years, and the proud father of twin and triplet daughters.

Terry was born Jan. 23, 1937, in Dargan, Md. He was the son of the late Edward and Elsie Knight. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathleen D. Hetzel and Peggy L. Meyers, while survived by brothers, Morris H. Knight Sr., Edward M. Knight Jr., Ronce L. Knight and Vincent A. Knight.


Terry is survived by twin daughters, Connie Lee Knight and Bonnie Lou Whipp, and son-in-law, Merle Whipp Jr.; triplet daughters, Sherri Renee Knight, Terri Renee Decker and son-in-law, Scott Decker, Kerri Renee Barr and son-in-law, Jair Barr; son, Mathieu Brooks Everline; grandchildren, Jade Ryan Whipp, Jack Caleb Barr, Gwen McKenzie Barr, Braxton Knight Decker, Charlotte Blair Whipp, Quinn Buchanan Barr, Gunnar Franklin Whipp, Brodric Quinn Decker; great-grandchildren, Mathieu Bryce Everline, Braeden James Barr.

Terry retired from Mack Trucks in Hagerstown, Md., where he was a member of the UAW Local 171, as well as an officer. He also worked at Family Recreation Park in Boonsboro, Md. Terry was also a highly skilled craftsman; evidence of his work can be seen throughout the area and at many of our homes.

Terry was an avid rider of Harley-Davidson motorcycles and longtime member of the Old Timers Motorcycle Club, where he shared his passion with his family and friends, who knew him as "Willy." He enjoyed taking long rides and attending Bike Weeks in Daytona, Fla., Ocean City, Md., Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Sturgis, S.D.

Terry was also a very devoted family man who loved nothing more than spending time together with his family at the home he built.

Terry was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church of Rohrersville, Md.

A heartfelt thank you to Lonzo Knight, JR Knight (who Terry thought of as a son), Rand and Wanda Knight, Jair Barr, Andy Huffer, Jeff Kelly, Marvin Kline, Pastor Rich Carr and Nick Russell for the love, care and friendship given to Terry and his family during the last two months.

A memorial service is planned for January 31, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Willow Brook Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 8916 Mapleville Road, Boonsboro MD 21713. Immediately after, a gathering will be held to celebrate Terry's life at his home in Keedysville. A bike ride in Terry's honor will be set up at a later date.
