Since she graduated from Western High School in Baltimore, she worked off and on as secretary and was interim business manager of Metropolitan United Methodist Church in Washington, D.C., when she retired in 1989.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, the Rev. Lamar W. Kopp; one daughter, Katharine J. Beckley and husband, Gary, of Winchester, Va.; two sons, Steven L. Kopp and wife, Gloria, of Smithsburg, Md., and Bruce B. Kopp and wife, Carol, of Hebbville, Md.; one sister, Francis Adams of White River Junction, Vt.; a brother, Alfred B. McClintock of Kent Island, Md.; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
There will be one night of visitation on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, followed by a graveside service on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Loudon Park Cemetery, 3620 Wilkens Ave., Baltimore.
