IRVINGTON, Md. -- Ryley Beaumont had 21 points and Gerald Hill added 20 as Mount St. Joseph's (12-3, 3-1) started fast -- taking a 24-8 lead after one quarter -- and never looked back against St. Maria Goretti.

Stephon Berry had 19 points and six rebounds, and Nic Martin added 16 points, five assists and four rebounds for Goretti (3-12, 0-4).

Nigel Van Oostrum led the Blue Storm (1-7) with 17 points and Taylor Dunn added 14.

Eagles win Hedgesville Invitational

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. -- Mo Newby led Hedgesville with 20 points and 11 rebounds as the Eagles knocked off Frederick, 54-51 to win the Hedgesville Invitational on Saturday.

Tournament MVP J.R. Mayles chipped in with 18 points for the Eagles (5-2), while E.J. Logan scored 13 for Frederick (5-3).

In the consolation game, Washington edged Park View (Va.) 67-64 in overtime.

Mayles, Newby, and Jordan Reid were named to the all-tournament team for Hedgesville, while Washington's Charles Yates and Tommy Junkin, the Cadets' Monnie James, D.J. Whiten, and Donald Dawson, and Park View's Jordan Owens also received honors.

FREDERICK, Md. -- Andrew Hendershot hit four of his five 3-pointers in the second half and scored 17 points to lead Heritage Academy to a victory over Queen Anne's on Saturday to win the Maryland School for the Deaf Oriole Classic.

Hendershot, who was named tournament's MVP, hit two of his 3s in the third quarter as the Eagles (7-1) turned a 33-30 halftime deficit into a 49-43 lead. Heritage played Queen Anne's evenly in the fourth quarter to secure the win.

Andrew Harrell scored a career-high 17 points to help the Eagles, while Cody Butts had 15 points and four steals and Travis Barthalow had 13 points and five rebounds. Barthalow was named to the all-tournament team.

FREDERICK, Md. -- Morgan McIntire's 26-point, 11-rebound performance Saturday helped the Eagles defeat host Maryland School for the Deaf (7-3) in the Oriole Classic final and earned her tournament MVP honors.

Brianna Dorsey added 10 points, seven boards and six steals, while Jessica Gaylor scored 10 points and Rachel Clarke brought down seven rebounds for Heritage (8-1). Dorsey was also named to the all-tournament team.
