FORT LOUDON, Pa. - Jeffrey L. Jarrett, 60, of Path Valley Road, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.

Born Aug. 18, 1948, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late John F. and Lois Brindle Jarrett.

From 1987 to 2007, he owned and operated Jarrett's Sawmill in Fort Loudon. He and his wife owned and operated Richmond Furnace Stop & Go.

He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Fort Loudon.

He was a member of the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara K. Weller Jarrett, whom he married Feb. 21, 1965; two daughters, Marie A. Jones and Dolsey L. Timmons, both of Fort Loudon; two sons, Jeffrey F. Jarrett of Fort Loudon and Harry L. Jarrett of Willow Hill, Pa.; two sisters, Bonnie Gallagher of St. Thomas, Pa., and Donna Gallagher of Fort Loudon; one brother, John R. Jarrett of Fort Loudon; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Della Jarrett.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, Mercersburg, Pa. The Rev. Terry Brosius will officiate. Burial will be in Stenger Hill Cemetery, Fort Loudon.

Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
