Pa. man charged after chase

HAGERSTOWN -- A man who fled from Pennsylvania State Police in Franklin County, Pa., drove the wrong way down a one-way street Saturday morning and struck four parked vehicles, according to a Hagerstown Police Department press release.

After the Washington County Sheriff's Department and Hagerstown Police Department joined the chase, police caught the driver -- Kevin R. Reese, 35, of 1765 White Pine Drive in Chambersburg, Pa. -- in the 300 block of Summit Avenue, police said.

The Hagerstown Police Department said that Pennsylvania State Police pursued Reese on U.S. 11 on felony and traffic charges.

About 2:45 a.m., the chase continued into Hagerstown.

Reese drove down Pennsylvania Avenue, then continued south on Jonathan Street, a one-way street going north, police said.

Reese's vehicle struck three parked vehicles on Jonathan Street, then continued down Summit Avenue, where it struck another parked vehicle in the 300 block, police said.

Reese was charged with fleeing from police, reckless driving, speeding, driving the wrong way on a one-way street, resisting arrest and multiple counts of failing to stop after a vehicle accident, according to online court records.

Reese's bail was set at $90,000 and he was being held Saturday afternoon in the Washington County Detention Center.
