BOONSBORO - Margaret Idell Thompson Holder, 86, of Reeders Memorial Home and formerly of Trego, Md., died Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at the home.

Born March 10, 1922, in Weverton, Md., she was the daughter of the late John William and Martha Elizabeth Holder Thompson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. Holder, who died Jan. 29, 2001.

She was a homemaker and a member of Brownsville Church of the Brethren.

She is survived by one son, George W. Holder of Keedysville; one sister, Anna Sullivan of Weverton; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Harris; and six brothers, Claggett Thompson, Orville Thompson, Claude Thompson, Tilghman Thompson, Abner Thompson and Charles Thompson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home in Boonsboro. The Rev. Daniel M. Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Brownsville Heights Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, which will open at noon.
