BUNKER HILL, W.Va. - Willis F. Cooley, 96, of Bunker Hill, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at City Hospital.

Born Sept. 15, 1912, in Mount Airy, Md., he was the son of the late Fred Cooley and Anne Cooley.

He was a chef and previously owned various restaurants.

He was a member of the Bunker Hill United Methodist Church, Moose Club and Capitol Yacht Club.

He is survived by his wife, Dessie P. Griffith Cooley; one son, William Cooley of Westminster, Md.; two daughters, Donna Marshall of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Peggy Galsky of Gaithersburg, Md.; two stepdaughters, Suzzette Plaster of Orlando, Fla., and Darlene Deem of Annapolis, Md.; two stepsons, Lawrence Deem of King George, Va., and Denver Deem of Chesapeake, Va.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; and 20 stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Millard Cooley.

Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home's South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood. The Rev. Vickie Dotterer will officiate. Burial will be at Paynes Chapel Cemetery.


Family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home's South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.
