40 lbs. of pot seized in W.Va.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- A West Virginia trooper on Sunday found about 40 pounds of marijuana in a vehicle he stopped when the driver failed to stop at a traffic light, state police said.

The marijuana was worth about $50,000 and the driver had $1,352 in cash, troopers said in a news release.

Troopers got a search warrant for the driver's home, where they found another $5,950 in cash, officer said.

Christopher Gochenour, 30, of 421 McDonald Drive in Inwood, W.Va., was charged with possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance.
