Where do you volunteer and what do you do there?: The Salvation Army, where he is president of the board.

What prompted you to begin volunteering?: "Dr. Laurence Johns invited me to volunteer for The Salvation Army in Hagerstown in 1994. Once I joined, I was hooked."

Your biggest reward as a volunteer?: "It's worth it just to see the expressions on the parents' faces (at the holiday toy giveaway). It touches your heart. Also are the people that you help who then come back to help others."

What impact has volunteering had on your life?: "It draws me closer to people, not for the accolades but for the good feeling."
