BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. -- Thomas John Regensburger, 58, of Berkeley Springs, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008, at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, Va.

Born Feb. 7, 1950, in Elmhurst, N.Y., he was the son of the late Herman Edward and Mary Barbara Diehl Regensburger.

He graduated from the State University of New York with a bachelor of science degree in engineering.

He worked as a telecom engineer for Fannie Mae.

He served in the U.S. Air Force.

He was a member of the Scleroderma Foundation.

He was a runner in the Montgomery County Road Runners Club.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary Sue Handing Regensburger; one daughter, Jodi L. Johnson of Brookfield, Conn.; one son, Ryan S. Regensburger of Orlando, Fla.; one sister, Mary Ann Bear of Greenville, Ky.; three brothers, Edward Regensburger of Glens Falls, N.Y., Richard Regensburger of Hannacroix, N.Y., and William Regensburger of Georgia; and one granddaughter.
