Two charged in McDonald's robbery

Two men have been charged in connection with a Nov. 14 armed robbery at the McDonald's restaurant on Massey Boulevard, Washington County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Roy Harsh said Wednesday in a news release.

Two masked men with guns entered the store just before the doors were to be locked for the night, Harsh said. One man forced all five employees in the store into a back room while the other man went into the office area and took cash from the safe.

James Kenneth Collins, 22, no address given, and Matthew Shane Lubonski, 22, of 1009 C Noland Dr., were charged with robbery, armed robbery, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and other crimes, Harsh said.

Both men were being held Wednesday morning in the Washington County Detention Center, a deputy said.
