December 23, 2008

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- A drug investigation in the Frederick area has resulted in the seizure of about 100,000 Ecstasy pills and 104 pounds of marijuana, according to court documents.

Frederick County investigators searched a warehouse and a nearby trailer early Friday in the 200 block of Buckheimer Road, according to documents.

The driver of the trailer, Mario Plourde, 45, of Quebec, is charged with possession and intent to distribute a large amount of a controlled dangerous substance and importing a controlled dangerous substance into the state, according to documents.

The search was the result of information gleaned from another Quebec resident during a traffic stop the previous evening, according to documents.
