Allegany Dental

Doctors, their families, and staff at Allegany Dental have been involved in several community service projects to help those in need this holiday season. All three locations have been drop-off sites for Toys for Tots.

Also, on Dec. 13, staff rang the bell for The Salvation Army in front of Pennsylvania Dutch Market at Long Meadow Shopping Center. While some participated in this project, others decided to stay warm and wrapped packages at Valley Mall for the local American Red Cross.

At the TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter 77 Dec. 15 meeting, Gordana Ritchie presented the program from the TOPS News magazine on "Weight Loss -- All in Your Head?" After her presentation, the group had a discussion about what their plans are for Christmas as far as watching what they eat. Ritchie also won the "Get-R-Done" contest. She had a loss of 6 1/4 pounds.

Kathy Freese will present the program this week. The chapter would like to wish everyone a merry Christmas and remind everyone to remember the reason for the season. The group meets Mondays at First Christian Church, 1345 Potomac Ave. in Hagerstown. Weigh-in is from 7:15 to 9:20 a.m. and the meeting is from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. For more information, call Donna at 301-223-8143 or Patsy at 301-582-2292.
