HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. --Â Evelyn May Leight Donaldson, 81, of Hedgesville, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, at her home.
Born March 13, 1927, in Jefferson County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Roy Gilbert Leight and Verna Carolina Roberson Leight.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Charles Bruce Donaldson, in 1978.
She was formerly employed by Jones Springs (W.Va.) Grade School, as a cook.
She was a member of Tomahawk (W.Va.) Christian Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Sandra A. Domenico of Tomahawk; four sons, Charles B. Donaldson II of Easton, Pa., Bernard D. Donaldson and Roger C. Donaldson, both of Jones Springs and Jon W. Donaldson of Monterey, Va.; three sisters, Verna C. McDonald of Winchester, Va., Betty J. Broy of Manassas, Va. and Nancy P. Malick of Bunker Hill, W.Va.; one brother, Donald E. Leight of Winchester, Va.; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
