Products and services: "We have treadmills, ellipticals, both upright and recumbent bikes for a cardio workout, and for strength and toning, we offer weight stack equipment. We also have free weights, weighted hoops, stability balls and medicine balls. One of the employees is certified to do workshops, including basic yoga and a serious of gentle exercises to strengthen the core and improve posture and balance. We stress all three components - cardio, strength training and flexibility.

"There is no enrollment fee and only a three-month agreement. Fees are $28 ($25 for those 60 and older) per month with many specials."


How did you get into your business, or what motivated you to start it? "I saw a need for a women's gym in this area that includes all the equipment that is in an average gym. I was looking to open a place where women could work out and feel at ease."

Previous business experience: Does accounting work for three Carquest Auto Parts locations in the Tri-State area owned by Teri and her husband, Jim McGarity.

Number of employees: Four part-time employees

Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; closed Sunday. Exercise classes will be offered on Thursday nights and Saturday afternoons starting Jan. 3, which is the day of the business' grand opening.
