St. John's Episcopal Church, the Rev. Stephanie Yancy will preach Sunday at the 8 a.m. communion service. The parish and youth choirs will provide music at the 10:15 a.m. service of lessons and carols. Sunday school classes at 9 a.m. include an adult forum.

St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Pastor Quentin Fleming's message at the 8:15 a.m. chapel service and the 10:30 a.m. communion service is "Do Not Be Afraid." Sunday school begins at 9:15 a.m.

Trinity Lutheran Church, Hagerstown, Pastor Eric Norgard is preacher/celebrant at the 8:30 a.m. praise worship service and the 10:45 a.m. evangelical worship this fourth Sunday in Advent. Tony Howell is lay assisting minister.

St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Smithsburg, Pastor Mark Mooney's topic is "Mary, Did You Know?" Sunday at the 9:30 a.m. service. Mooney and his puppet friends will highlight the morning service. Sunday school is at 10:45 a.m. The youth Christmas party is at 6 p.m.


First Christian Church, Senior Minister Fred Harris will give the message "Watching for Vision" at the 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. services featuring Heavenly Harmony and the chancel choir. Sunday school for all ages begins at 11:15 a.m.

First Baptist Church, 15 High St., Hagerstown, Pastor Thom Smith will speak at the 11 a.m. service Sunday on "Who Is The "I" in Christmas?" Sunday school begins at 9:45 a.m.

Benevola United Methodist Church, Boonsboro, a service of lessons and carols at 9 and 11:15 a.m. Sunday. The New Creation will sing. Sunday school begins at 10:30 a.m. The Christmas program is at 6 p.m.

Valley Assembly of God Christian Life Center, 17544 York Road, Hagerstown, Sunday, the Rev. Robert Jones will speak on "The Intrusion of God" at the 10 a.m. service. Bible Study is at 9 a.m. "Joy, Joy, Joy," a Christmas musical, will be presented at 6 p.m.

Otterbein United Brethren Church, 146 Leitersburg St., Greencastle, Pa., all-music Christmas services Sunday at 8:30 and 10:40 a.m. with choirs and volunteers sharing talents. Fellowship and brunch at 9:50 a.m. The adult and children's choirs will present "Joy, Joy, Joy" at 6 p.m.

Grace Brethren Church, 250 Philadelphia Ave., Waynesboro, Pa., the 10 a.m. service Sunday is the cantata "Come Let Us Worship The King." No Christian education Sunday. "The Fall and Rise" is the topic at 6 p.m. Sunday. Grace Teens at 7 p.m. Wednesday prayer and Bible study at 1 p.m. and a gathering at 6:06 p.m.

A Cry in the Wilderness Ministries will be holding services at Steve's Studio, 13194 Monterry Lane, Rouzerville, Pa., Sunday at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Steve Burdette's topic is "His Name Shall Be Called Jesus."
