Smartly designed floor plan makes good use of space

December 20, 2008

Smartly designed to make use of all available space, Plan AX-97359 by Home Plans LLC covers 1,380 square feet of living space.

Double doors open directly into the great room, where a fireplace creates ambience for the entire space. Additional highlights include built-in bookshelves and a wall overlooking the rear porch and deck.

A decorative column introduces the all-purpose dining room, which includes a bright bay window, a French door to the rear porch and sliding glass doors to the rear deck.

The U-shaped kitchen has ample cupboard and counter space, and puts everything within reach.

Separated from the secondary bedrooms for privacy and quiet, the master bedroom is topped by a tray ceiling and features a bayed sitting area, large walk-in closet and private bath with an oval tub.

On the opposite side of the home, two nice-size bedrooms share a full hall bath. The front-facing bedroom includes a bright bay window.

Outdoor spaces, including front and rear porches and a sprawling rear deck, offer additional space for warm-weather entertaining.

Blueprints for this design include plans for an optional two-car garage, accessed through the utility room, as well as an unfinished room on the upper floor.
