Peggy Wanda Davis, 59, of 221 E. Baltimore St., Hagerstown, Md., died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008, from injuries sustained in an accident in Martinsburg, W.Va.

Born April 23, 1949, in Greenville, S.C., she was the daughter of Lillie Mae Smith Simpson of Myersville, Md., and the late Jesse Lee Simpson.

She was a 1968 graduate of Williamsport High School.

She was a supervisor with Team Sage Technologies in Martinsburg.

She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Temple of Hagerstown.

She was also a member of AARP.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by one daughter, Tammy M. Hill of Hagerstown; one son, Chad E. Pannell and his wife, Rachel, of Aurora, Colo.; six sisters, Patricia A. Davis of Hollow Rock, Tenn., Marylou Stull of Myersville, Gladys B. Palmertree of Longview, Wash., Margarett G. Miles of Belleview, Neb., Judy C. Gallagher of Pine Hill, N.J., Karen E. Garland of Granite City, Ill.; five brothers, Lawerence M. Simpson of Hendersonville, N.C., Rahnie J. Simpson of Jacksonville, Fla., David W. Simpson of Mount Airy, Md., Lowell E. Simpson of Fort Hill, S.C., and J. Paul Simpson of Union Bridge, Md.; grandchildren, G. DeMario Sease, Matthew Westerberg, Tianna R. Sease, Caleb J. Evans, Charee N. Hill, Dallas L. Pannell, Colton J. Pannell and Cooper J. Pannell, all of Colorado.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donnie L. Simpson and R. Dale Simpson.

The family will receive friends at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport on Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral home will be open after noon on Friday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 108 E. Franklin St., Hagerstown, on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. David W. Simpson and the Rev. Majors Robert and Margarett Miles officiating. Interment will be in Manor Cemetery, Boonsboro, Md.
