BOWIE, Md. -- Liki Turner had 14 points and seven rebounds, Jonathan Motichka scored 13 points and Tariq Oqdah had 11 for Shepherd University (1-7) in a loss to Bowie State.

Charles Richardson led Bowie State (5-4) with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Price gets national honor

RENO, Nev. -- Longtime track officialĂ‚ Bill Price, 74, of Smithsburg, recently was honored for his leadership at the USA Track & Field Annual Meeting, as he was presented the Jim Grey Humanitarian Award.

Price currently is the vice chairman of officials for the Potomac Valley Association --Ă‚ USATF's regional organization for Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C.

All-comers meet at HCC

The Mountain Express Holiday Invitational all-comers indoor meet will be held Dec. 27 at Hagerstown Community College.

Race-day registration will be from 8 to 9:30 a.m. The meet begins at 10.
