The second annual Home Party Holiday Shopping Extravaganza at Broadfording Church of the Brethren Fellowship's Family Ministry Center Dec. 6 resulted in a number of donations to the Humane Society of Washington County. The event was organized by Tastefully Simple representative Nicole Row.
Attendees were asked to bring a nonperishable food item and/or pet food or supplies that were to be donated to the food bank or the Humane Society of Washington County.
On Dec. 8, Nicole and Tim Row brought the items intended for the shelter.
"We hope this will help the animals at the shelter," Nicole Row said.
Paul Miller, executive director of the shelter, said everyone at the shelter was very appreciative of Row's efforts. "Every donation helps and we would like to thank everyone who donated items or money to us last weekend." The event featured home based businesses with numerous gift items for sale. The animal shelter had an informational table set up at the event.
