December 14, 2008

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - One local banking executive has replaced another as president of the Berkeley County Development Authority.

Kevin L. Starliper, chief lending officer of CNB Bank Inc. of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., was elected by board members to replace Stephen R. Cox of Centra Bank, who has served on the board for about 22 years and as president since 2006.

Board Vice President Jim Seibert, treasurer Jim Welton and secretary Greg Ahalt were re-elected Wednesday at the development authority's December meeting.

The Berkeley County Commission on Thursday accepted the recommendation of the Town of Hedgesville to reappoint its representative, Dennis Donaldson. Donaldson is Hedgesville Mayor Mary Sue Catlett's husband and owns Cell-Page Communications in Hedgesville.
