Fundraisers



Used vehicle drive

Extra Mile Ministries has launched its year-end drive for used vehicles throughout the area and offers tax deductions to qualifying donors. Cars, trucks, boats, RVs, motorcycles, buses and campers are all acceptable. The ministry takes both running and non-running vehicles. Vehicle donations

Oak Ridge Country School accepts running or non-running vehicles and gives donors charitable tax deductions. Free tow-away. Call Oak Ridge Country School, 866-618-8111.

Breakfast

Saturday, Dec. 13, 8 to11 a.m., Asbury United Methodist Church, 155 N. Jonathan St., Hagerstown. Menu includes eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, fried potatoes and onions, orange juice and coffee. $8 at the door or $7 in advance. Sponsored by United Methodist Men.

WILLIAMSPORT - Saturday, Dec. 13, Williamsport Volunteer Fire Hall, Brandy Drive. Chicken corn, bean and mulligan soups will be available by the bowl for $2 or the quart for $4. Country ham sandwiches cost $3 and baked ham and chicken sandwiches cost $2.50. Baked goods also will be available. Santa Claus will be available for pictures. Menu includes homemade waffles, chunky chicken gravy, coleslaw, homemade cake, coffee and tea. All-you-can-eat. Carry outs available. A tour of the Nesbitt House is available.

Costs $6 for adults, $5 for seniors older than 60 and $3 for children ages 6 to 12. Proceeds go to the family of Officer Mark Bremer, who was killed in the line of duty.
