Hancock switching to paper ballots for Jan. election

December 12, 2008|By DAVE McMILLION

HANCOCK - Hancock Town Council members decided Wednesday night to switch to paper ballots in the upcoming Jan. 26 municipal election.

Council members decided to go to paper ballots after Mayor Daniel Murphy said the town's election machines that have been used for about 16 years are starting to give the town trouble.

The deadline to register to vote is Dec. 31 at noon.

The election will be Jan. 26 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Town Hall.
