Bond was denied Wednesday for a Hagerstown man charged with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of another local man on Summit Avenue in October, according to Washington County District Court records.
Washington County District Judge Mark Thomas ordered that Kevin Valentino Franklin continue to be held without bond, records show.
Franklin, 38, of 322 S. Potomac St., was charged in a warrant with first-degree murder, second-degree murder and other crimes in connection with the fatal shooting of Larry Boyce.
The body of Boyce, 36, was found Oct. 24 in the driveway of a home at 738 Summit Ave., not far from his own home.
Authorities took Franklin into custody Nov. 4 in the parking lot of the Westmoreland County Prison in Greensburg, Pa.
Franklin initially was held in Westmoreland County pending extradition to Maryland, but he arrived Tuesday at the Washington County Detention Center, officials there said.
