MAUGANSVILLE, Md. - Jack Eugene Helman, 76, of 13938 Weaver Ave., Maugansville, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, at the Washington County Hospital.
Jack was born in Hagerstown, Md., March 6, 1932, the son of the late Ivan Kenneth Sr. and Carrie Ellen Stouffer Helman.
Jack was employed as a truck driver with Thomas-Bennett & Hunter Concrete for 14 years and most recently with Supreme Concrete Products for over 20 years, both of Hagerstown.
He attended Hagerstown Bible Church.
Jack was a member of the AARP and a former member of Conococheague Tribe 84 IO Red Men, Williamsport, Aerie 694 FO Eagles, Hagerstown, and Hagerstown Lodge 212 BPO Elks.
Jack is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lois Lucille McNamee Helman; daughters, Corrine D. Mauck and her husband Nevin of Greencastle, Pa., and Jackie L. Willetts and her husband James of Williamsport; granddaughter, Katlyn B. Willetts of Williamsport, and grandson, Ryan H. Mauck and his wife Andrea of Greencastle; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ivan K. Helman Jr.
Graveside services at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park will be conducted at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Dr. James E. Swecker officiating.
