Greetings, neighbors

There is a house here in town that has a yard overflowing with Christmas. I appreciate the efforts of homeowners who work so hard for the enjoyment of others.

Annual concert

The Unwashed Band, Trinity Lutheran's Contemporary Choir, will present its third annual dinner and concert Saturday. Doors to the social room open at 5:30 p.m. for light fare and beverages. Back by popular demand are several tasty buffet selections, and a special buffet table for children. Music begins in the sanctuary at 7:15 p.m. There are some tickets still available at the door at $10 for adults, and $5 for children ages 5 to 10. All proceeds will benefit youth ministries at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Christmas ornaments

The Boonsboro Fire Co. is offering the third in a series of locally themed Christmas ornaments. They cost $10 each and this year features the Old South Mountain Inn. They can be purchased at Town Hall, The Old South Mountain Inn, at the Boonsboro Fire Station or by contacting Dennis at 301-432-6411.

Christmas program

New Covenant Fellowship Church, 18310 Breathedsville Road, Boonsboro, is presenting its Christmas program, "The Greatest Gift of All" Friday through Sunday, beginning at 7 p.m. each evening. The program is free, but due to limited seating, tickets are recommended. For more information, call 717-597-5637.

The concert is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served at intermission. Holly Roelkey, director, and Bob Sclater, assistant director, will direct the band in the program that features traditional seasonal music.
