BEL AIR, Md. - K'Yan Andrews paced the Hawks with 24 points and 11 rebounds as Hagerstown Community College downed Harford 109-95 in the Maryland JuCo Conference on Tuesday.

Isaiah Hill had 15 points and 13 boards for the Hawks (10-1, 5-0), while Raason Young and Jeremy Myers each scored 16 and Jordan Brooks had 10 points, nine rebounds and six assists.

Butch Faulcon scored 27 points and Lionel Perkins added 20 for Harford (4-7, 2-3).

Allegany 72, HCC 63

CUMBERLAND, Md. - Cara Thompson had 18 points, six rebounds and five assists for Hagerstown Community College, but Allegany rallied to defeat the Hawks and remain undefeated in the Maryland JuCo Conference.

Shawayna Morel had 11 points and six rebounds, Valentina Wheeler grabbed six boards and Miranda Payne added five steals and five assists for the Hawks (5-7, 2-1).

Melissa Ford scored 23 points to lead Allegany (8-0, 5-0).

BRIEF



Rams' Steele earns D-II honors

Shepherd University sophomore return specialist Deante Steele was named to the 2008 Daktronics, Inc. Division II All-American Football Team, one of only two sophomores to be honored.

Steele returned 20 punts for 404 yards and two touchdowns, and ranked second nationally with a 20.2-yard return average. He also had 17 kickoff returns for 491 yards and two TDs, and his 95-yard punt-return touchdown against Charleston tied a school record and was the longest Division II punt return this season.
