Sarah Virginia McClure Levenduski, 92, of Hagerstown, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at her home.

Born Dec. 21, 1915, in Dawsonville, Ga., she was the daughter of the late James Holbert and Ila Kelley McClure.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Church of God with the international office in Cleveland, Tenn., and did work for Home Missions in the New England states during the 1930s and '40s. She also did volunteer work for the American Heart Association and with mental health.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Paul Levenduski; two daughters, Deltah Levenduski of Hagerstown and Gula K. Raley of Cleveland; one sister, Jimmie Lou McCullough of Camp Hill, Pa.; and one granddaughter.


She was preceded in death by four sisters, Anne K. McClure, Monnie McClure, Alva Mae McClure and Nell Cross.

Services will be Wednesday at noon at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown. The Rev. B. Lloyd Womack will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
